The summer term is now upon us and I hope you are enjoying the glorious weather. It has been lovely to see the all the children being able to make the most of the meadow and outdoor areas at school, both in lessons and at break times, hopefully it will last throughout the term!
Spring is definitely in the air in the Reception classroom, with the annual consignment of eggs and incubators having arrived. As you can imagine, this has produced a lot of excitement amongst the children, with four male chicks and three female chicks having already hatched. The beautiful weather has added to this excitement, with the children able explore the meadow on a daily basis as part of their Mini-beasts topic and creating habitats to encourage even more wildlife around school.
In addition to the chicks arriving, school has recently invested in 25 iPads, which are already being used across the school to enhance lessons throughout the curriculum. As our Computer Science teacher, Mr Nelson has been particularly pleased with our upgraded IT resources and it has been brilliant to see the children embracing them with such enthusiasm them and continuing to push themselves to enhance their own coding skills in their Computer Science lessons.
The Summer Term obviously brings with it the annual SATs and Years 2 and 6 are hard at work preparing for their respective tests.
